1. WHAT WE COLLECT

SalesBar stores three types of anonymous, non-identifiable data locally in your browser:

The following data is never collected, stored, or transmitted:

• — eBay usernames or account credentials
• — Passwords or authentication tokens
• — Contact information of any kind
• — Browsing history outside of eBay listing pages
• — Financial data or payment information
• — IP addresses
• — Device identifiers
• — Location data

3. HOW DATA IS USED

Anonymous session IDs and item identifiers are transmitted to a Cloudflare Workers backend solely to store and retrieve sales figures across sessions. This allows the extension to show you cached sales data on listings you've previously synced, without making a new network request every time.

Operational event logs are used exclusively to monitor the health of the extension (for example, to detect a broken sync). They are not used for analytics, advertising, or any form of user profiling.

4. DATA SHARING

No data is sold, rented, or shared with any third party — period.

The only external service the extension communicates with is the Cloudflare Workers backend operated by Union M Ltd, solely for the purpose described in Section 3. No advertising networks, analytics platforms, or data brokers receive any information from this extension.

5. EBAY ACCOUNT ACCESS

SalesBar does not require you to connect or authorise your eBay account to the extension. Syncing purchase history data uses the session cookie already present in your browser — the same cookie eBay's own pages use when you're logged in.

The extension does not read, store, or transmit your eBay credentials, session tokens, or account details. It simply makes a request to eBay's purchase history endpoint on your behalf, in the same way your browser would if you navigated there manually.

6. DATA STORAGE & RETENTION

Sales snapshots and the anonymous session ID are stored in your browser's localStorage. This data lives on your device, under your browser's control. It is not synced to any cloud service tied to your Google account or browser profile.

Data on the Cloudflare Workers backend is stored as anonymous key–value pairs (session ID → sales snapshot) with no personal information attached.

7. YOUR RIGHTS & CONTROL

You can remove all locally stored data at any time in two ways:

• → Uninstall the extension — removing SalesBar from Chrome deletes all locally stored data immediately.
• → Clear Chrome storage — navigate to chrome://settings/siteData, search for the extension, and clear its stored data without uninstalling.

To request deletion of any data stored on the Cloudflare Workers backend, email [email protected]. Because no personal data is stored, deletion is straightforward — we'll remove the anonymous session ID associated with your request.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

SalesBar for eBay is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has used the extension and you have concerns, contact us at [email protected].

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published at this URL with a revised effective date. Continued use of the extension after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

We do not anticipate changes that increase data collection — any future versions of SalesBar will maintain the same privacy-first principles.
