ABOUT UMAIR
BAHAWALPUR, PAKISTAN · AVAILABLE FOR PROJECTS
I combine industrial engineering experience with software development and BIM automation to improve digital engineering workflows.
Alongside industrial BIM systems, I develop software products and automation workflows focused on operational efficiency and digital transformation.
WHO I AM
My background is industrial — 17+ years working with BIM, CAD, and engineering workflows across oil & gas, power, and water infrastructure. I know what slow, manual, and broken looks like from the inside.
I taught myself software development because I kept seeing the same gap: engineers drowning in legacy processes with no digital path out. So I built one. Automation scripts, web platforms, AI-assisted tools — applied directly to the industrial problems I understood.
Today I sit at the intersection of both worlds. I'm a digital systems builder: someone who understands the engineering context well enough to build software that actually fits it.
WHAT I DO
WEB APPS
Full-stack, performant, well-crafted applications. From idea to shipped product.
AI TOOLS
Practical applications of LLMs and automation. Making repetitive work disappear.
BIM AUTOMATION
Scripts and tools that automate BIM workflows — clash detection, P&ID generation, point cloud processing. Reducing manual engineering work at scale.
DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
Converting legacy industrial processes into data-driven digital systems. From paper drawings to smart, queryable assets.
STACK & APPROACH
GO-TO TECH
Astro for modern frontend, full-stack web development, TypeScript for type safety, and open source whenever possible.
PHILOSOPHY
- • Ship first, perfect later
- • Build things you'd actually use
- • Code with taste and intention
- • No gatekeeping — build in the open
- • Let the user experience speak louder than technical choices
NEXT
Building digital systems at the intersection of industrial engineering and software. Shipping automation tools, BIM workflows, and web products — and working toward advancing this work in the UK digital technology space.
